homer's was the place to be thursday night for
retro video game bash! radio hits from the 90s and 80s mingled with the familiar sounds of golden eye, mario kart, defender, and missile command. when the asteroid dust settled there were three guys left standing.
ben took home the first place trophy (and a gift card to homer's and vintage stock),
ian won the worst zelda game ever made (along with a free homer's drink coupon), and the third place prize was my lava lamp (
ian stanford received as a proxy, the actual winner went home early). the N64's
golden eye was based on the 17th james bond movie by the same name, TRIVIA: how many james bond movies are there? 20? 21? 23?
