T.I.P.

you see tip jars in alot of coffeehouses (including homer's), but what does the word tip actually mean? most historians agree that it is an old acronym that was started in london. the original words engraved on brass boxes said:
a) Timely Improved & Preferred
b) To Insure Promptness
c) True Integral Payload
