Don't Quote Me...

we all know someone who said something that stuck with us. that is the basic definition of a quote. whether it was nathan hale - "i regret that i have but one life to give for my country," or marie antoinette - "let them eat cake," we all know some quote that is memorable. coffee quotes on the other hand may not be memorable, but they are cool. someone once said - i guess the coffee just wasn't strong enough to defend itself. was it tom waits? ken nordine? conan the barbarian? if you're the first customer with the right answer (must be present to win) you get a free drink today! everyone else gets double drink card punches for trying.

Aimee and Rachel Win Big!

no one was happier than aimee b. and rachel b. (no relation) when they figured out today's trivia question after much googling, and a call to the chamber of commerce. the question: what was at 7126 w. 80th st. before homer's? the answer: a women's fashion shop. aimee and rachel high fived and then traded their trophies for a large white chocolate freeze.

Before It Was Homer's

sometimes a customer will ask me "what was here before homer's?" i could reference a local website with a huge collection of pics for long gone businesses in the greater kansas city area. there's also a great book series that show parts of town from 50 or 100 years ago! anyway, you're probably wondering 'what WAS at 7126 W 80th St. before homer's?' was it a gas station? a bookstore? a women's fashion shop? if you're the first customer with the right answer you get a free drink today! everybody else gets double drink card purchases for guessing.
